No. Freezing or closing a card does not cancel a subscription or clear outstanding charges. To cancel a subscription, you need to do so directly with the service provider.
Some merchants place a temporary authorization to check that your card works. It can reduce your available balance until it is released. How long this takes depends on the merchant and card issuer.
Check the renewal date, your card’s expiry date and whether you have enough available balance. If a payment fails, the provider’s rules determine whether it is retried or the service is paused.
Use the billing details provided with your card and follow the merchant’s checkout instructions.
No. Your card balance does not limit the usage charges you can build up with a cloud provider. Set any available usage limits and billing alerts directly with that provider.
